| About Me |

As far I remember, from my mid school days, my mother and I used to grow a large variety of flowers in our garden. My heart was overjoyed to see them blooming in spring and winter. But unfortunately every year on festival days, like Saraswati Puja, all our flowers were stolen at night. This shocked and hurt me immensely. So one day I asked my mother
"Is there any beautiful plant which can't be stolen?" |

At the time I used to go to my neighbour's house by jumping a wire fence. One day I discovered a little Banyan tree growing in the fence area. However, I ignored it and went to my neighbour's house as usual. One day my mother warned me not to let my feet touch the Banyan tree as in Hindu religion the tree is considered to be sacred and auspicious. So I took that little Banyan tree and placed it in a small beautiful pot. After few days I saw that many branches had grown and the tree looked very beautiful. Thereon with the help of moss and stone I kept that plant in proper shape and size. |

After some years I came across an article about "Bonsai" in a Bengali daily named "Ananda Bazar Patrika". Surprisingly all the guidance given in that article matched with my experience about that little Banyan tree. From that day my interest in Bonsai cultivation multiplied many folds. I started growing many varieties of plants like Religiosa, Fichus, Fig, Tamarind and many more. |

My entire collection of beautiful and heart thrilling Bonsai plants are kept in my garden and by the grace of God not a single plant has been stolen till now.
